We have a valuable opportunity to sandwich the status quo between a grass roots demanding change, and a leadership in the Obama administration willing to support change. I agree this is the world’s best opportunity to move a monstrous system in a new direction, and it starts with not missing the opportunity in the US. Grass roots demands in Australia are important to that effort because Australia is one of very few countries the US has been able to appeal to as tolerable of the US’s so far sluggish action.
