Hooray for Washington state! They are providing funding for TWO not one but TWO biomass projects. The state awarded grants and loans to companies that are going to capitalize on the waste of Washington’s massive foresting industry. Talk about efficient. I can think of plenty of states (Hello California!) that could capitalize on the organic waste left over after farming and foresting foresting. It’s also a way of creating more jobs and adding money to the states economy while reducing emissions. Sounds green to me! Read about it here.
